Bespoke Awning Installation for Norwich Pub

We’re proud to have established ourselves as being able to create stunning awnings that transform patios and outside areas into spaces that can be enjoyed all year round. Last year we installed a beautiful, bespoke awning for the popular north Norwich pub, The Whalebone. 

The Whalebone has a large, Mediterranean style terrace garden which includes a BBQ and outdoor kitchen area, which is home to the popular pop up Lorenzo Pizzeria who serve authentic Italian woodfired pizzas. Making the garden enjoyable all year round gives the pub another reason for it’s locals to remain loyal, and for new customers to visit. The north of Norwich has a vibrant and exciting pub scene, so it is imperative for the business to continue to establish itself as one of the best places to go. 

Tasked to design an awning that would be suitable in all weathers, make the most of the garden and complies to the regulations on smoking shelters, we made two retractable Weinor Pergotex all weather awnings. We worked in conjunction with Jeckells the Sailmakers, who have been making sails for over 186 years, to create the large, weatherproof canopies that will perform for years to come. 

The Weinor Pergotex frame and operators allow the pub team to control the awning to suit the weather and their customers needs, the electrically operated retractable canopy is strong and durable in sun, wind, rain and snow. Fitted with lights and heaters, the remote-control awnings have been thoughtfully designed and installed the extend the customers experience and enjoyment of the pub.
