Pleated Insect Screen on Conservatory Door

As the weather warms and the days get longer, we find ourselves leaving windows and doors open throughout the day. However, the inevitable consequence is a home or office with uninvited guests flying around and annoying your sunny mood with their constant buzzing. Bluebottles, fruit flies, bees, wasps and moths aren’t tolerable housemates, so keep them out and keep the breeze blowing with insect screens!

Almost all windows and doors can benefit from insect screens including conservatories, roof windows and skylights. Allowing air to circulate and providing an almost invisible barrier to insects and flying bugs, insect screens are a simple and effective way to enjoy the summer months in comfort.

Stay in Control

Insect screens can be fixed, hinged or spring operated to suit the window and application. Spring operated screens allow the screen to be rolled back and hidden away when not needed while fixed screens allow for pleats and decorative touches to be added to the mesh.

Fine Choices

Discreet woven fibreglass mesh is our standard application, it is virtually invisible and provides excellent protection from bugs. A very fine mesh, which even keeps out particles of pollen is available and a great solution for healthcare settings and children’s bedrooms.

Less translucent, but stronger materials can also be used for insect screens. Woven polymer, aluminium and stainless steel meshes are often used in commercial environments.
