We recently installed two traditional shop awnings for a hairdresser on the stylish St Giles Street in Norwich.
No 37 opened last summer, and after only being open for a few months a lorry crashed into their traditional striped shop awnings! Fortunately, no one was hurt in the accident - except perhaps the bruised ego of the driver! We were on the scene the same day to assess the damage and make the shop front safe, making sure the broken arms and mechanisms couldn’t cause any harm to the premises or to pedestrians passing by.
Luckily, our team of awning experts were able to repair the damage caused to the structure of the awning but the awning fabric was unfortunately irreparable. The owners of the hairdresser used the opportunity to choose a new style of awning cover, and after discussion with our team opted for an elegant deep purple to set off the bold gold logo. Our in-house signwriting team did a fantastic job of making the logo look perfectly crisp, and the colourfast materials mean that the design will look brilliant for many years to come.
To avoid an awkward asymmetry of awnings, a new cover was made for the second awning and the fascia repainted to match too. The new awnings are smart and elegant, matching the style of the property and of the hairdressers too!
