Shop Awnings: Creating a smart shop front for a refurbished village store

Recently, we were called in to help with the refurbishment of a small Mace shop in Cambridgeshire. Supporting local businesses is important not just to us but also for the community, so we manufactured, supplied and installed an attractive and cost-effective awning for the shop's front entrance. Station Stores, Cambridge One of over 764 Mace stores throughout the UK providing their customers with everyday essentials, Station Stores is a well-loved village shop for the people of Impington. The village has a rich history that stretches back to the time of Celts and Romans, remnants of which can be seen in the beautiful medieval church and Georgian windmill, and it is now a picturesque village with a close-knit community. Due to its prominence in Impington, the shop recently underwent a complete refurbishment and continues to serve customers with a warm, friendly attitude and good value food. The Awning Made in the simple style that has been used for shop fronts for over 100 years, this single Jib frame ‘Dutch’ awning is approximately six metres wide. With an aluminium frame and a plain colour Dickson Constant acrylic fabric from the Orchestra range, it is a durable but inexpensive solution. The bespoke sign writing was completed in house, directly onto the fabric before it was put onto the aluminium frame.
