Cakes, Jumpers and Christmas Cheer: Our Festive Fundraiser for NANSA

With the year rushing to a close, the team decided to squeeze in one last bit of festive fun today - our Christmas charity bake sale and jumper day. It brought a proper burst of colour (and a frankly dangerous amount of cake) into the office, all in support of a cause that means a great deal to us.

The spread was something to behold. Staff turned up with everything from Biscoff brownies and gingerbread loaf to carrot cake, brookies, and a handful of bakes that looked almost too good to cut into. Every plate disappeared faster than expected, helped along by the fact that apparently no one here has any willpower when it comes to cake!

Judging, Winners and a Proper Festive Atmosphere

We were lucky enough to have Maddi from NANSA join us as our official judge, and she took the job in the true spirit of the season - equal parts enthusiasm and determination. After working her way through an impressive number of entries, she named the Victoria Sponge Santa Cake as this year’s winner. Its baker walked away with a £20 M&S gift card and the very real honour of being able to remind everyone about it at every future bake sale.

Our total so far stands at just over £120 for NANSA, which is a brilliant outcome and a real reflection of how keen everyone was to get involved. It’s always encouraging to see how quickly a contribution grows when people rally behind a cause they care about.

A Lovely Way to Round Off the Year

More than anything, today was a reminder of how good it feels to come together for a cause close to home. The laughter, the colourful jumpers, the smell of freshly baked cake drifting through the office - it all added up to a moment of warmth right at the end of a very busy year.

Thank you to everyone who baked, judged, bought a slice (or several), and helped us raise money for a brilliant local charity. It was a wonderful way to close out the year, and we’re already looking forward to doing it all again next year.
