First there were gorillas, then there were dragons and now hares are coming to Norwich! Cooks Blinds is proud to be taking part in the GoGoHares 2018 sculpture trail, which will see 50 hares decorated by artists spring up around the city. Taking place over the summer months, the trail will bring tourists and visitors to the city and raise thousands of pounds for the local children’s charity Break.
We’re sponsoring a hare which is being painted by Alex Egan, a Norfolk based artist with a stunning portfolio of expressive and emotive paintings. We can’t wait to see the finished hare, especially after seeing her beautiful dragon ‘Birdie’ from 2015’s GoGoDragons!
Our dragon in 2015, Raptors Fire, was painted by Jessica Copping. It was a beautiful piece of art that we were proud to put our names to, and raised a whopping £5,200 for Break charity. This year is Break’s 50th anniversary and we hope to help them raise great funds to support their worthy cause that helps so many children and young people in East Anglia.
This year’s trail will start on Sunday 24th June and run through to Saturday 8th September. There will be a last chance to see all the large sculptures called Hare today Gone Tomorrow on 7 –10th October, after which the sculptures will be auctioned off on 11th October.
