Celebrating 60 Years of Cooks Blinds – and Raising £2,500 for NANSA!

This year is a really big one for us at Cooks Blinds & Shutters as we celebrate 60 years in business! To mark the occasion, we threw an anniversary ball and got together with our team, friends, and partners for an evening of laughter, good food, and memories we’ll never forget.
Our guests were welcomed with drinks kindly sponsored by Hörmann, setting the tone for an evening full of laughter, great company, and celebration. Everyone then enjoyed a delicious three-course meal, followed by incredible entertainment from local magician Edd Crafer, who amazed the room with his close-up magic and lively stage act.
Afterwards, Martin Cook took to the stage to give a heartfelt speech, looking back on our 60-year journey and recognising the hard work and dedication of our amazing team over the decades. We also took the opportunity to present a few awards to celebrate those who’ve played a key part in our success.
Music, Raffles, and a Charity Auction
No celebration would be complete without some live music, and the brilliant Move Your Brass band had everyone up on their feet to finish the night in style!
We also held a raffle and charity auction, led once again by Edd Crafer, who did a fantastic job of keeping the energy high as guests bid on some amazing prizes. We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the generosity of our guests and sponsors, we raised an incredible £2,450 for NANSA (Norfolk & Norwich Scope Association). They are a local charity and do vital work to support people with disabilities and their families.

Looking Ahead
As we celebrate 60 years of business, we’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come - from our beginnings in the 1960s on Sweet Briar Industrial Estate in Norwich, to becoming one of the region’s most trusted names for blinds, shutters, and shading solutions.
But most importantly, we’re grateful to our customers, staff and community. You’ve all played a massive part in our journey. Here’s to the next chapter - and to continuing to serve Norfolk and beyond with the same commitment to quality and care that has defined us for size decades.
