Improve your Business’ Security with Shutters and Security Grilles

At Cooks Blinds and Shutters Ltd, we've been working with businesses across East Anglia for over 50 years. Helping local businesses is something we’re passionate about, and we recently had the opportunity to do just that for Haywards of Cambridge.

Haywards of Cambridge are a specialist motorcycle and electric bike dealership, and they called us in following a break-in for an assessment of their physical security. Haywards’ workshop is home to a wide selection of new and used motorbikes, and their insurance company advised them to have extra security fitted to the windows and doors to protect their stock against any future criminal attempts.

Our first task was to make the rear workshop doors secure. However, Haywards wanted to keep their existing half glazed doors as they are easy to use and enable the staff to see if anyone is coming or going. Our solution was to manufacture and install a galvanised steel security shutter that could be rolled down to secure the doors at night, but could easily be rolled up and out of the way in the day. As Haywards didn’t want the shutter to look out of place, we had it powder coated to match their doors.

We’re currently in the process of manufacturing window security grilles for Haywards’ showroom, which contains their stock of motorcycle clothing and helmets. When we’re finished, Haywards of Cambridge will be much more secure, reducing their chances of being targeted by thieves.
