Investing in a Greener Future with Solar Energy

At Cooks Blinds and Shutters, we are always looking at ways to improve not only the products and services we provide, but also the way we operate as a business. As part of that ongoing commitment, we have recently completed a major investment in renewable energy at our premises with the installation of a large-scale solar panel system.

The project saw the installation of 102 high-performance solar panels across the roof of our facility, helping us take another important step towards reducing our environmental impact and creating a more sustainable future for the business.

A Significant Renewable Energy Investment

Every panel that has been installed is rated at 450 watts and this gives the overall system a maximum generating capacity of 46kWp. This will allow us to generate a substantial proportion of our own electricity directly on site - something that will reduce our reliance on traditional energy sources and improve the overall efficiency of our operations.

We estimate that, going forward, we will be able to reduce our carbon emissions by approximately 6 tonnes of CO2 every year. That reduction forms part of our wider commitment to operate as an environmentally responsible business.
