Oliver Joins Us for Work Experience

On 16th March, we were delighted to welcome Oliver to Cooks for a period of work experience.

During his time with us, Oliver was able to get a broad view of what day-to-day life at Cooks looks like. He spent time on site to see a range of installations - from garage doors through to blinds. He also had the opportunity in our factory to look behind the scenes at how our shutters are manufactured. Alongside that, he gained an insight into how everything comes together in the office to ensure that our installations are completed smoothly.

Work experience is always a great opportunity to show how different parts of our business connect, and Oliver approached it with a positive attitude throughout. He got involved, asked questions, and made the most of the time he had with the team.

Following his time with us, Oliver shared some thoughts about his experience:

“I really enjoyed going on site. I liked learning new skills which I can take further into life and develop. I liked meeting new people and I liked how the whole workplace was friendly, and they helped me if I had any questions. I also liked having a range of opportunities which meant I could learn more.”
