Meet the Team: Pete - Installations Manager

If you’ve ever had blinds or shutters fitted by Cooks and everything seemed to fall into place without fuss, there’s a good chance Pete had a hand in it.

Pete is our Installations Manager, and his role sits right at the point where plans turn into real work. He’s the one making sure fittings are booked in at the right time, installers have what they need, and customers know what to expect before the day arrives.

His involvement often starts earlier than people realise. Whether someone has visited the showroom to talk through options or sent an enquiry online, Pete is usually involved behind the scenes - checking details, lining up schedules and making sure each installation makes sense for the home, not just the diary. It’s practical work, and a lot of it comes down to experience and knowing where problems can crop up if things aren’t thought through properly.

On a day-to-day basis, Pete works closely with the fitting team, keeping everyone in the loop and making sure timings are realistic. A lot of his time goes into checking the small details beforehand, so installers aren’t turning up with unanswered questions or last-minute changes. It’s that preparation that helps things run smoothly on the day.

Outside of work, Pete is rarely standing still. He enjoys skiing when he gets the chance, keeps active at the gym, and spends most of his downtime with his partner and their two sons.

When asked about his favourite blind, Pete doesn’t hesitate. He’s a big fan of the battery-operated Vision blind, thanks to its clean appearance and the flexibility it offers when it comes to controlling light. Practical, tidy, and well thought out - which probably say a lot.
