We’re proud sponsors of Holt Rugby Football Club, who are soon to be celebrating their fiftieth anniversary at the Bridge Road grounds! Holt RFC have a long history in the county and are a huge asset to the local community. With a full set of mini and youth teams from ages 5-16, many players have gone on to play at senior level, representing national teams – including the celebrated Youngs brothers Tom and Ben.
On 14 October 1968, Holt RFC opened the ground by playing an Eastern Counties invitation XV in front of a large crowd, with a final result of Holt RFC 19 Eastern Counties 26.
To celebrate the anniversary, exactly 50 years on from that first game, Eastern Counties are returning to play Holt RFC! Prior to the game a celebratory lunch is being held, with guests including players from the original match as well as the referee Mike Stott.
