Window installation in Bacton, Norfolk

The winter of 2013/14 saw large areas of the north Norfolk coast exposed to some of the worst winter storms for decades. The record tidal surge saw hundreds of homes flooded and many local businesses inconvenienced. Even now, two years on, many of those who experienced flooding are still working to recover from the damage which was caused.

One of those still recovering is a customer we recently worked with in Bacton, Norfolk. Having seen their home flooded during the winter storms, they are still in the process of rebuilding. As part of that work, we were asked to supply and install aluminum shutters to the exterior of their property.

Powered by remote control, these shutters will offer the homeowner a number of benefits, including:

  • The aluminum finish to the shutters will ensure that they will not rot.
  • Controlled via a choice of rocker switch or handset, the shutters can be opened or closed either singularly or collectively.

As building work was still ongoing, the roofline was yet to be completed. Bearing that in mind, we were able to fit the shutters into the cavity that the builders allowed. Once the facia and soffits are in place, almost all of the shutter roll box will be hidden; helping to create a neat finish.
