Traditional Timber Awnings in Aldeburgh and Southwold

We recently visited the sunny seaside towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh in Suffolk to install awnings for the wonderful teams at Slate, the artisan cheese delicatessen. 

The stylish cheesemongers have a very modern, defined aesthetic with a beautifully simple logo. We built traditional timber frame awnings, with the blinds in the company’s signature slate grey. Manufactured in house at our workshop in Norwich, our team crafted modern shop blinds with hand painted lettering that matches the branding perfectly. 

The stunning seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold are both picture postcard perfect places, the pretty high streets lined with independent shops all individually decorated whilst staying in keeping with the traditions of their locale. The traditional awnings we built for Slate were made to honour that, the timber frames and galvanised steel mechanisms made with modern techniques to tried and true standards.
