Bar Shutter Installation at Seacroft Holiday Village

2016 has already been busy at Cooks Blinds & Shutters, and we’ve been helping a number of local businesses get ready for their peak times this year. One of our recent customers was Seacroft Holiday Village in Hemsby, where we installed a new bar shutter as part of a £1.5 million refurbishment.

The Installation

Part of the Richardson’s Leisure Ltd, Seacroft Holiday Village on the Norfolk coast in Hemsby offers adult only chalet breaks. Seacroft recently went through a £1.5 million refurbishment to improve the village in time for the busy Easter period. The refurbishment included upgrading a number of chalets and refurbishing the reception, but the biggest project was renovating and combining the harlequin ballroom and bar into the harlequin show bar, which is now able to seat over 400 hundred guests. As part of this renovation, Cooks Blinds & Shutters were called in to work on the bar shutters in the new harlequin show bar.

We fitted a new bar shutter alongside their existing shutter, and fitted it with a removable centre post so the bar is clear when the shutter is open. The shutters are electrically operated, but they have internal manual overrides in case of a power failure. While we were at Seacroft Holiday Village, we also relocated another shutter from part of the village to the new shop they created as part of the refurbishment.
