Installation: Security Shutter at Stardust Amusements

Even if the weather takes a turn for the worse on Great Yarmouth beach, holidaymakers at Hopton Holiday Village have plenty to entertain themselves with on site – not least the Stardust Amusement Arcade, where the machines pay out tickets that can be exchanged for toys and souvenirs of their Norfolk holiday.

During a refurbishment last year, Stardust built a new Prize Shop to display all the wonderful cuddly toys and gifts that can be won from their machines. All of these prizes need to be secure when the arcade is closed at night, so Cooks Blinds and Shutters Ltd were called in to install a security shutter across the service hatch.

The shutter is operated manually and has a secure locking system attached to the bottom rail.  The shutter is constructed from strong aluminium and finished in a polyester powder coat in a matching colour to the arcade. The ‘alternate punch’ pattern of gaps in the shutter allows vision, light and air filtration, whilst maintaining a secure barrier. 

At Cooks Blinds and Shutters, we can fit shutters to any size of service hatch. You can choose to have them operated manually or we can install a motor that opens and closes them at a touch of a button. You can choose any colour to match your branding.
